Join us for Why Representation Matters, EMA’s annual discussion on the importance of representation and inclusion in the entertainment industry. This year, we’re thrilled to welcome guest speaker Dwight Caines, President of Domestic Marketing at Universal Pictures, where he oversees all areas of domestic marketing for the studio.

Over his career, including his time as President of Marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Dwight has worked on hundreds of films, among them global franchises such as James Bond, Spider-Man, Jurassic World, The Fast and the Furious Saga, and Wicked. This year, Universal’s slate, including The Odyssey and Forgotten Island, have made a tremendous impact. Since 2020, he has also served as co-chair of the Universal Pictures Inclusion Committee, working to strengthen the studio’s commitment to inclusivity across its workforce and creative work.

A proud Syracuse Newhouse alum, Dwight gives back as a mentor, adjunct professor, and advisory board member, and serves on the boards of City Year Los Angeles and Otis College of Art & Design.

This will be an impactful conversation and a wonderful opportunity to learn from a leader shaping inclusion in entertainment. Appetizers will be served, and all are welcome!

Required for new EMA members.
