Curious about what it's like to work at an early-stage startup or looking to join one that's in hyper-growth mode? Want to get that target function on your resume for recruiting? Join us on Tuesday, January 12th at 6:30pm for EA's 3rd Annual Startup Career Fair to meet some of the most promising startups in the Los Angeles area.
Companies are hiring across all roles for part-time (paid and unpaid), summer internships, and full-time positions. Last year, 32 companies and 230 students attended. A big student turnout and active student engagement will keep these startups returning year-after-year and establish Anderson as the go-to MBA program for LA-based startup recruiting.
This year, we already have 50 startups registered across AI, retail, CPG, cannabis, real estate, entertainment, marketing, healthcare, and more. We will provide a full list of registered companies closer to the event.
This event is open to all Anderson students.

Below are important details on how to access the fair (account needed, details below), tips on navigating the event, and final tips and reminders. Please read on, as it's very important:
1. Register for the event on Hopin
-- We are using Hopin to host the virtual event - please use the following link to register and also to access the event the day-of: https://hopin.com/events/ucla-anderson-startup-career-fair
-- The password to the event is ea2021
-- We recommend you register before the fair to be able to customize your profile. Once you register, you will have the ability to customize your profile and include things such as a photo and even add a link to your LinkedIn page.
2. Navigating Hopin: Once you create an account and login to the event, you'll find a number of ways to explore the fair once it's live. Here's a quick guide to find your way around:
-- Company Booths: this is where all the action is at - head over here to find each company's individual booth and meet with them. Booths are marked "Live" where a representative is actively manning it. Startups may not be available throughout the two hours, so keep checking in to catch them when they're live. When company representatives are away, you can still check out the booth to watch videos or check out the company's social and websites.
-- Sessions: Stop by here to network with other attendees. Either use the precreated "Casual Chit-Chat" session or create your own based on your interests. Up to 20 people can chat in one session.
---- Helpdesk Session: If you need any assistance during the event, feel free to drop by the "Help Desk" session - one of the organizers will always be there to guide you.
3. Other Tips and Reminders:
-- We're now accustomed to Zoom and the amazing backgrounds and blurs it comes with, but please note that Hopin doesn't allow you to set a background. So make sure your actual background is in order and video-worthy.
-- The final and updated company packet will be sent out tomorrow, a few hours before the event.
-- Dress in whatever you're most comfortable in (casual is fine), stay as long as you want and most importantly, have fun! This is a great opportunity to just connect with founders and startups too, so don't go in under any pressure!
