Join us for a great panel event on Wednesday, May 31st from 11:30AM-12:30PM, talking about all things entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) and specifically, the traditional search route. In this event we will talk people who are in the industry first-hand: one current searcher, a current CEO, and two search fund investors. The panelists will give great insights into what the pathway is like for MBA's, how to raise a fund, and what it's like to both search for a company to buy, and then operate that company as the CEO.

On the panel:
1) Graham Brockington - Anderson 2018 grad. After UCLA Business School, Graham worked for Beachbody, a leader in health and wellness, and helped take the company public in 2021. While at Beachbody, he led multiple teams and worked on multiple M&A transactions. Graham launched his search in August 2022.

2) Eric Giesecke - CEO of Planet DDS, the leading provider of cloud-based software solutions dental offices and groups in North America. Prior to joining the company, he co-founded District Line Partners, a private investment fund created to acquire and operate a single attractive business in a growing industry. He also ran One Source Water, a bottleless water cooler firm that he also acquired through a search fund. Eric has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia.

3) Jim Edmunds - Jim has been an investor at Search Fund Partners for the past fifteen years. He currently serves on the boards of ConsumerAffairs.com, ISI Telecommunications, Peerless Events and Tents, Hathorn Corporation, DSD Partners, Concierge Plus, Meternet, PFCLA, and Luggage Forward. Prior to joining SFP, Jim acquired a business through a search fund and worked at McKinsey and Bear Stearns. Jim has an MBA from Stanford and an A.B. in History from Harvard. He lives in Menlo Park, CA with his wife and three children.

4) Chris Jenkins - Chris is the co-founder and Managing Partner at Riviera Capital. Prior to co-founding Riviera Capital, Chris was the Chairman of a southern California based healthcare company, Canaan Health Care. In that role, the business grew from inception to profitability to become one of the leaders in the space and still achieving double digit growth. Chris holds a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. Chris is married with one daughter and an active tennis player, former professional race car driver, and automotive enthusiast. Chris is also Chairman of the Canaan Cares Foundation and actively involved in research and philanthropic endeavors focused on degenerative neurological disorders.
