David is a thought leader in healthcare communications and consumer digital health. He is currently Founder & CEO of Care3, the first team collaboration platform for home and community-based care serving the most vulnerable by addressing social determinants of health. Care3 is inspired by David's experience caring for his mother prior to her passing and his special needs son. Prior to Care3, David was Co-Founder and CEO of InvolveCare, a mobile app for family caregivers. InvolveCare reached thousands of families and attracted multi-millions in revenue in its first year. With this early success, InvolveCare was acquired into Aetna's enterprise technology suite after only fourteen months in operation.

Prior to InvolveCare, David was a Founding Executive at PatientsLikeMe, the world's first and leading consumer health data-sharing platform. Responsible for marketing and business development, David helped grow the company to a nine figure valuation by inventing the first non-advertising revenue model for a social health company. PatientsLikeMe was heralded by numerous media outlets including Fast Company, ranking PatientsLikeMe the #2 Most Innovative Healthcare Company in 2010 (behind GE Healthcare). David is also a recognized thought leader, speaking frequently at conferences and is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, Nature Biotechnology and the Journal of Communication in Healthcare. His previous corporate experience includes neuroscience global strategy with Eli Lilly and Company and healthcare management consulting with Deloitte. David serves on the Board of The Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at UCLA and is a member of the ABL Healthcare CEO Roundtable. He is a Henry Crown Fellow and Braddock Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. David earned a BS in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Digital Strategy with a certificate in Corporate Governance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
