Join us for a rich conversation with Dr. Aya Jakobovits, who brings over 25 years of experience in founding and growing biotech companies developing novel technologies and therapeutic products. She is the Founder, and former President and CEO of Adicet Bio, a biopharmaceutical company developing next-generation immunotherapies, and the former President and Founding CEO of Kite Pharma, a leader in autologous T-cell therapy that was acquired in 2017 by Gilead.

Dr. Jakobovits has been a part of numerous novel biotechnology ventures, including serving as a Venture Partner at OrbiMed Advisors; Executive VP, Head of R&D at Agensys (acquired by Astellas); and Director, Discovery Research and Principal Scientist at Abgenix (acquired by Amgen).

Dr. Jakobovits received her B.Sc., cum laude, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; her M.Sc. in chemistry; and her Ph.D. in life sciences from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. She was a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF and Genentech. She is also an author of more than 50 scientific publications and inventor of more than 120 issued patents. She serves on the boards of Adicet Bio, Dyve Biosciences Inc., the UCLA Technology Development Group and the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy.
