Kati Fernandez is the Chief Content Officer at TOGETHXR, where she leads the company’s content vision, strategy, and execution. In this role, Kati oversees the development of original IP, studio programming, special events, and branded entertainment—driving both audience and revenue growth. Her leadership is focused on expanding TOGETHXR’s creative footprint across short-form, mid-form, long-form, newsletters, and podcasts, while shaping stories that reflect the brand’s unique position at the intersection of sports, culture, lifestyle, and identity.
An award-winning Afro-Latina creative executive, Kati brings a deeply strategic and narrative-driven approach to storytelling. Prior to joining TOGETHXR, she served as Head of Development at ESPN, where she led the creation and evolution of some of the network’s most influential properties, including 30 for 30, ESPN Originals, and ESPN Films. Her work has spanned documentary, editorial, and branded formats, redefining what sports media can look and feel like across platforms. Kati’s career reflects a bold mix of innovation and cultural fluency, with prior experience at NFL Network and Hulu.
Outside of content, Kati is also active in the venture capital and social impact space. She serves as a HearstLab Scout and Advisory Board Member, supporting early-stage, women-led startups that have gone on to secure Series A and B funding. She is also the co-founder of Lazos Al Futuro, a non-profit that provides scholarships and mentorship to students in the Dominican Republic, impacting over 30+ scholars and driving higher graduation rates.
Recognized as a trailblazer in media, Kati has received numerous honors, including Sports Business Journal’s New Voices Under 30, Cynopsis’ All-Star Honoree, NextGen Collective’s 30 Under 30, and Young Alumni of the Year by the College of the Holy Cross. She was also named to the Cablefax Diversity List, spotlighting her commitment to shaping a more inclusive industry.
