SOMA x AnderTech x EMA Datathon!

Join SOMA x AnderTech x EMA for our second annual Datathon!

What's a Datathon? It's an event where groups use data to answer a prompt in a concentrated amount of time to practice and expand their data analysis skills. This event is for everyone from people who are R/Python curious to coding pros! It's a great opportunity to hone your skills, learn some new tools, and win some money.

This year we'll be using data from Spotify and groups will be tasked with some data wrangling, analysis and visualization (all great experience for answering the behavioral question 'Tell me about a time you used data to answer a question.'). The prompt will be released Thursday, April 22nd and groups will have 24 hours to work on the prompt before giving a short presentation to a panel of judges on the afternoon of Friday, April 23rd.

We will have a beginner and advanced track, where the prompt will be catered to each level. Additionally, for the beginner track we'll be hosting an Intro to R workshop when we release the prompt to help get you started.

You can sign up as an individual, with a friend, or in a team of up to 4. On the sign-up you can indicate if you want to be paired with others to form a larger team.
