Strategy vs. Operations 101
Come learn from 2nd years about strategy and operations roles, how the roles differ, and how they overlap. If you are considering participating in SOMA's IPT workshops, this event will help clarify any questions you may have about the difference between the strategy IPT workshops and operations IPT workshops. Please note the 101 session is not required to participate in IPT. The event will take place on Monday, October 14th from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Healthcare 101 Session (Monday, October 7th @ 11:30-12:30pm) - New to Healthcare? DaVita is hosting a Healthcare 101 session for Anderson students that are new to healthcare and want to learn more. We will cover a variety of healthcare basics including an overview of the healthcare verticals, how they fit together and the financial structure of the industry. We have planned content but will have plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the healthcare industry. Lunch will be provided!
DaVita MBA2 Company Presentation (Tuesday, October 8th @ 11:30-12:30pm) - Join DaVita teammates and Anderson alumni to learn more about the unique opportunities to own a P&L and manage a large team right out of school through the Redwoods Leadership Development Program. We will start with a brief presentation followed by networking. Lunch will be provided!
DaVita MBA2 Coffee Chats (Tuesday, October 8th @ 1:00-4:00pm) - Coffee chats are a great way to hear from DaVita teammates and learn more about the Redwoods Leadership Development Program in a small group setting.

Samsung "Women of GSG" Online Panel
Samsung Global Strategy Group is recruiting again this year at Anderson and would like to invite interested SOMA members to attend the "Women of GSG" online panel discussion hosted by Samsung’s GSG4Women. GSG women will discuss their career paths and advice on GSG as well as living and working in South Korea. This is an opportunity to ask questions about GSG, life in Korea and get answers from those who have experienced it first-hand. The discussion will take place Today, September 9th @ 5:30 p.m. and can be accessed here.
Purdue University Supply Chain Business Case Competition
The GSCMI Center at Krannert School of Management, Purdue University would like to invite your school to participate in the 2019-2020 Phase1 Intercollege Graduate Case Competition. The competition consists of two phases: Phase1 serves as a virtual qualifying/ elimination round, and Phase2 (involving the top 6 qualifying schools from Phase 1) will occur in conjunction with the GSCMI Spring Conference at Purdue University on February 20-21, 2020 on site at Purdue University. These 6 teams will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge to conference industry judges. Teams qualifying for Phase 2 will receive the second part of the case on Thursday, February 20 and will present their recommendations to a panel of judges on Friday, February 21, 2020. Teams consist of 4-5 members and will be competing for a $5,000 first-place price.

Carnegie Mellon Tepper International Case Competition
The Tepper School of Business is excited to invite you to the 24th Annual International Case Competition (ICC). This year’s case will be sponsored and judged by a panel of executives from Honeywell, with additional support from Amazon, AlixPartners, Emerson and Eaton. The ICC is America's premier MBA case competition focusing on operations and supply chain management and has been hosted by Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business since 1996. The competition provides an innovative learning platform for students to solve a current business challenges focused on Operations Strategy, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility. The winning team will receive an award of $5,000, with additional awards for second and third place.
