Game of Thrones final season: HBO brand partners get creative: Since 2011, the fantasy show has partnered and integrated with top brands to fund the series. Among them, HBO secured Oreo, Mountain Dew, and Bud Light have signed up as sponsors in a bid to off-set CGI costs, rampant piracy and the ever-increasing fees of the cast.

Publicis announces $4.4 billion deal to acquire data marketing company Epsilon: Epsilon, which works with advertisers on loyalty and email-marketing programs, gives Publicis access to more consumer data. It also helps modernize its business at a time when advertising holding companies are under pressure to become less dependent on traditional functions like crafting TV commercials and print ads, which have waned as new digital marketing has surged.

Coke to sell droid-like bottles at new Star Wars theme parks: Creating co-branded packaging with entertainment properties is a common tactic in the beverage industry. But Coke’s Star Wars collaboration is notable because it goes far beyond simply slapping a graphic or two on normal bottles. Disney put a big emphasis on having everything inside the park fit the Star Wars motif and Coca-Cola’s packaging is no different.
